Summary:


Grand River Hospital is procuring a new software to store and maintain policies, procedures and other guidance documents and make them accessible to employees and providers. We need a committed Transformation Specialist to help complete the associated work under the guidance of the working group and in coordination with the contracted vendor and multiple departments. The incumbent will also coordinate multiple aspects of the transition process so that we will complete the project in a timely manner and meet project objectives. The role involves a combination of project management, coordination, change management, business analysis and data entry.

We are looking to hire for this role at the soonest possible. This role has an option to work Onsite, Hybrid or virtual.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement project work plan in collaboration with the vendor
  • Report to Working Group on progress
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders to inventory existing documents from multiple sources
  • Liaise between Working Group and vendor to complete customization of software
  • Partner with departmental reps to coordinate departmental data migration and develop a hospital wide database of Policy Management task owners (authors, reviewers, approvers, etc.)
  • Coordinate departmental and hospital wide communications regarding this project
  • Coordinate development of training materials and work with departments to implement initial and ongoing training for the new software platform
  • Liaise between Working Group, vendor and Comms Team to support endusers in terms of adoption, training and technical support

Qualifications:


  • Diploma/Degree, preferably in business, information technology or a healthcare related discipline
  • Knowledge of project management with educational qualifications in project management an asset
  • Three years of work experience with one year in a role(s) that involve project management, liaising between the vendor and multiple internal stakeholders, managing change and influencing adoption of a new technology/tool.
  • We expect the incumbent to gain a deep understanding of the project's objectives, key success factors and become proficient in operating and collaborating effectively with the working group and the vendor in the first few months, then gain experience and understanding in collaborating with other departments in the following months.
  • High level of initiative and business acumen
  • Ability to relate to individuals and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict management facilitation and group process skills
  • Demonstrated experience working across a health care organization
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and creative problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and balance work
  • Strong adaptability to rapidly changing environments and demands
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, MS Project and SharePoint
  • Must be available to work flexible hours
