Progesys Inc. is a recognized firm offering complete solutions for project management and transition to operations. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

Progesys is currently looking for a Mechanical and Piping Coordinator to join a mining project in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical engineering / technician activities in order to meet the scope of work and to ensure customer satisfaction
Create conceptual models / specifications / plans following meeting with the client
Coordinate efforts and complete projects in collaboration with other coordinators and engineers from all disciplines that contribute to the project, architects and project managers
Work closely with project teams and clients to define the scope of work
Perform field observations and inspections, assist in the design, commissioning support and Quality Assurance / Testing
Provide project engineering support to the project management team throughout the project
Provide accurate cost estimates and resource assessment throughout the project, including the process of bid evaluation

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role on industrial projects
Experience in the mining sector is considered an asset
Knowledge of mechanical equipment, under pressure systems, rotary, piping and tanks API
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to motivate teams and build positive relationships with various stakeholders
Thoroughness, leadership, autonomy and sense of organization
Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
