Production Assistant Ii - Burlington, Canada - Mission Produce

Description

They will work side-by-side with Production Supervisor, and Production Coordinators to ensure production requirements are met to achieve Mission's goals.

• Assist the Production Supervisor and Coordinators.
• Assist in Bagging and Machine Operations.
• Assist in shipping and receiving operations by loading, unloading, and racking fruit.
• Understand and adhere to Mission's ripening process.
• Accurately complete the ripe room checks daily and mark all required details clearly on the inspection logs.
• Understand inventory levels and FIFO procedures.
• Effectively communicate order status and changes to and from QA, Shipping, Sales, and Inventory teams (both at the facility and the corporate office.)
• Operate a forklift to stage fruit for QA inspection, load ripening rooms, dry goods inventory, and all other duties as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills among the team and other departments.
• Forklift experience.
• Strong problemsolving skills.
• Ability and willingness to follow standard operating procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
• Must have the ability to be flexible, including holidays and weekends.
• Display a positive attitude towards tasks.

• Ability to work in a temperaturecontrolled environment from 34°F 42°F.
• Ability to lift or move 2550 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
