Welcome to the role of Field Service Technician This position is a great opportunity for someone with a technical/electrical background and a passion for problem-solving. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for a variety of generators/pumps and related equipment across the province. **For the successful candidate, Sansom Equipment is willing to provide a relocation allowance to the Deer Lake area**

As the Field Service Technician, you are responsible for:

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment associated with generators.
• Inspecting and testing generator/pump systems to ensure proper operation.
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems including connections, wiring, and components.
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on generator/pumps.
• Performing scheduled maintenance inspections, lubrication, and adjustments.
• Monitor and adjust fuel/air ratio to ensure optimal performance.
• Installing and/or replacing generator/pump parts and components.
• Making recommendations and performing repairs, as necessary.
• Preparing and submitting reports and other documents as required.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure safety and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Computer proficient.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to travel as needed.
