Cabinet Maker/ Wood Worker - Barrie, Canada - Podiumpros

Currently seeking a cabinet maker/wood worker to join our team. The desired applicant will have at least 2 years of direct woodworking experience or equivalent education. Experience/knowledge of the a/v industry and components is a bonus.


Position Functions:

• Assemble custom cabinetry and millwork as per our product specifications.
• Operate common cabinet making tools and equipment while abiding by safety policy & procedures.
• Machine, sand, shape, cut, band/veneer cabinetry, millwork and a/v components.
• Maintain & operate a small wood shop with mínimal interference.
• Comfortable working alone or in a team atmosphere.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in woodworking or equivalent education.
• Proficient with use of common woodworking tools, equipment and processes.
• Ability to comprehend component diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
• Efficient use of time & materials.
• CNC experience is a bonus.
• Experience/knowledge of the audio/visual industry and components is a bonus.

Other Requirements:

• Efficiently work within project labor budgets.
• Maintain excellent product quality.
• Physically fit. Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Performance driven.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Valid 'G' drivers license to use work van, and own transportation to & from work.
