Food Service Worker

The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Dietary Manager or designate, the Food Service Worker is responsible for the

production of high quality food for the residents of the Pines in a safe and sanitary manner.


What you will do:

What you will need:


  • Assist in serving meals, snacks & beverages
following resident's diets & food preferences, using

proper portion sizes

  • Follow proper food handling techniques
- keep work

area clean and uncluttered.

  • Set dining room tables and trays accurately and
neatly

  • Assembles, operates and cleans dietary equipment
  • Food Service Worker certification (6 units at
community college level)

  • Successful completion of a food handler training
course (1 day) & maintenance of this
qualification is required

  • 3 months of previous food service experience in
an institutional setting, preferably LTC

may be eligible to work in the capacity of Dietary
Aide while they complete the training and
education required for Food Service Worker.

What we are offering
This is a
casual opportunity available at the District. The hourly compensation range for this role is
$19.50 -

$20.58.
