OPPORTUNITY


Pro Coro Canada (PCC) is looking for a lively, dynamic, and engaging individual to join the team as Fund Development Specialist.

The Fund Development Specialist is a relationship builder, responsible for connecting donors, sponsors, and funders to the sound of PCC, inspiring and stewarding all avenues of giving.

The Fund Development Specialist will diversify the avenues of giving to PCC, while helping to sustain, establish and foster new stakeholder relationships.

The Fund Development Specialist is an integral member of a small team in the Canadian not-for-profit performing arts environment.

Reporting directly to the Managing and Artistic Director, the Fund Development Specialist provides seasonal planning and consistent execution of all aspects of the organization's Fund Development initiatives including annual campaigns, season sponsorship, and donor events.

The Fund Development Specialist also oversees the fund development content for marketing and communications, and collaborates with the Marketing Coordinator for social media campaign materials, newsletters, annual reports, and website content.

The Fund Development Specialist is an active, engaging presence at all of PCC's concerts, and interacts with patrons, staff, volunteers, and the artists.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Activate and manage the Fund Development and Stewardship plans for the organization.
  • Discover and curate PCC's stories that reflect the impact of giving.
  • Cultivate relationships with all who are impacted by PCC patrons, artists, staff, volunteers, funders and donors, and emerging talent on a local and national level.
  • Develop content and deliver presentations to prospective community partners and corporate sponsors.
  • Develop and execute local and national fundraising campaigns/events in tandem with the performance season.
  • Bring innovation and revision to the PCC sponsorship program, making it relevant and exciting for corporate donors; manage ROI fulfillment.
  • Help support the implementation of the communication and marketing strategy to grow awareness and expand patron base.
  • Create and review online content to ensure alignment with fund development strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure the privacy and accuracy of all confidential donor information.
  • Provide monthly reports regarding supporter data, outreach, recognition, etc.
  • Project work as required.

THE INDIVIDUAL

EDUCATION

  • Postsecondary education with a diploma or degree in nonprofit management, communications, business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Fundraising Professional Executive certification (or working towards certification with established final date) is preferred.

COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Several years' experience with notforprofit fund development, including annual and major giving, sponsorships, grants, and events.
  • Be a connector able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a wide variety of personalities; able to manage situations with discretion.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the artistic community in Edmonton.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Translate plans into action.
  • Excellent writing abilities, both casual and structured, to draft compelling and persuasive correspondence to donors and prospects, and formal written structure for grants and sponsorship requests.
  • Social Media Knowledge (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram).
  • Proficient working with databases, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel); experience with CRMs and Google Suite.
  • Ideally, proficiency or fluency in a second relevant language.

Reports to:
Managing and Artistic Director, Pro Coro Canada

Time Commitment:
Part-Time position up to 15 hours per week, one-year contract renewable, starting July 15, 2024


Wage:
$28.00 per hour


This position requires regular evening and weekend availability, and the flexibility to work remotely and in Pro Coro Canada's downtown office.
