The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$73,548- $81,092
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $95,658
is available through annual performance increases.

The team works together to ensure effective, efficient and safe performance for the operation, maintenance and repair of campus buildings and grounds.


Objectives:


Under the general direction of the, Manager Data Integration and in consultation with the Facilities Management (FMGT) Directors, Managers and supervisors, the Administrator optimizes the utility of the Facilities Management Information System (FMIS) to meet departmental objectives.

FMIS is the system of record for University buildings and building systems. The system contains critical data on university assets and equipment as well asset maintenance schedules and procedures.

In addition, the Administrator acts as the key point of contact and functional systems expert and support for FMIS, by providing system training, monitoring updates, troubleshooting and reporting issues to the vendor, advising the management staff of system updates, and implementing approved system changes.

The position has responsibility to keep the system data up to date and accurate.

  • Job RequirementsAt least five years' experience managing an Information system and providing support and training on the use of technology, preferably in a Facilities Management related industry.
  • Demonstrated writing and organizational skills to develop instructional materials and document requirements of an enterprise software system.
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Experience presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience assessing documents such as preventative and demand maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of maintenance materials
  • Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment.
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate, build and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals and work effectively in a team environment.

Preference:

  • Trade qualification and experience
  • Knowledge of buildings and grounds of the university
