Key Qualifications:


  • High school, Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Meditech Materials Management Information Systems and Inventory Control Systems essential
  • Previous experience in Hospital Receiver/Shipper including storage of supplies and equipment is required
  • Knowledge of Medical/Surgical supplies is essential
  • Knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems and Inventory Control Systems is required
  • General computer skills & literacy essential (M/S Office)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy essential
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team
  • Good interpersonal & strong communication skills essential
  • Positive attendance and work record

Position Summary:


  • Accurately ships, receives, unpacks, stores, issues, carries and transports all supplies and equipment in accordance with established inventory control systems.
  • Checks and stocks supply carts using hand held computer technology, orders/maintains/verifies receipt, etc., including counting, picking and delivery
  • Performs all data entry for MMIS, and maintains M.S.D.S. as per W.H.M.S. legislation
  • Assists with inventory counts, backs up Storeskeeper and maintains stores and area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Performs other related duties as required
