We are seeking a procurement expert, who can grow the maturity of our procurement practice and support our business units with best-in-class contract management.

A service-oriented mindset, you will proactively build relationship with divisional and departmental leaders, providing trusted advice and guidance on future procurement activities.

Experience in IT or technical procurement would be especially advantageous.
In this position your key day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and issuing requests for tenders/proposals/expressions of interest/request for information and pre-qualifications
  • Evaluating vendor responses, designing selection criteria, interviewing suppliers and negotiating price, terms, delivery methods and key dates
  • Prepares award recommendations, negotiating complex contracts, contract renewals or major contract changes
  • Monitoring vendor performance;
  • Leading a small team of procurement professionals, providing coaching and mentoring and ensuring an engaged, collaborative team environment

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:


  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree in Business or Engineering, specializing in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management; OR a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Ideally a minimum of 2years experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or equivalent designation would be an asset
  • Additionally, experience with technology (hardware and software) procurement would be considered beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, problemsolving, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong contract management skills
  • The ability to build and maintain strategic business relationship with internal and external stakeholders

SECURITY CLEARANCE:


As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained.

This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.

The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is roughly 3 to 5 years.

E-Comm offers a competitive salary of between $107,464 and $126,429 combined with an excellent benefits package. This position is based in Burnaby and is eligible for hybrid working.

As an integral part of BC's emergency services, E-Comm has a Covid-19 vaccination policy in effect with requirements for all current and future employees.


Salary:
$107,464.00-$126,429.00 per year
