Location

Responsibilities

Conduct field inspections or data collection of Cityowned assets including: park, stormwater, and rightofway infrastructure etc.
Use the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) to field collect, edit and georeference spatial data for various infrastructure types
Assist in the maintenance of digital files of engineering drawings, plans, reports into the City's ImageSite document management system
Perform spatial and nonspatial queries on infrastructure data and assets
Carry out other assignments related to asset planning, as required

Requirements:

3rd or 4th year Geography, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning or Civil Engineering
GIS knowledge is an asset but not mandatory.
Field data collection or survey experience is also preferred
Must have reliable transportation to and from sites
This position may require occasional travel between sites and/or City facilities.
