Skills Instructor (Jr. Gryphon Soccer School)

Position Status:
Part Time Hourly (Seasonal)

Reports To:
Program Supervisor

Compensation:
$16.55/hour (starting)

Hours of work:
Fridays, 5:30-9:00pm (Guelph Sports Dome), 6:30-9:00pm (Gryphon Fieldhouse)

Job Overview
Skills Instructors will support our development programs by facilitating sessions within our Junior Gryphon Soccer School (ages U6-U14).

Skills Instructors are leaders on the field and are responsible for set up, following a session plan, and providing a positive playing experience to all players.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Follow a session plan in accordance with Long Term Player Development.
Lead/coach a group of players within our Junior Gryphon Soccer School program.
Help with program setup and ensure equipment is stored safely after the session has concluded.
Deliver exceptional customer service to all participants.
Ensure onsite safety of participants.
Work cooperatively with other instructors and youth volunteers.
Attend coach development sessions as scheduled by Guelph Soccer Technical Director.

Require Skills and Experience

Proven experience with children and youth.
Must be willing to obtain coach training/certification and other core competencies.
Must be able to work Friday evenings from 5:309:00pm.
