(radio frequency) welding and heat sealing equipment to highly sophisticated testing and certification equipment including cold temperature test chambers, inertia reel testing equipment and computerized measurement and test equipment for quality inspection.

We are currently looking for a
Sewing Machine Operator to join a dynamic & close-knit team

Reporting to the Production team lead, the Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for following work instructions and process procedures to perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis, operate sewing machine or sew by hand


Duties & responsibilities:

  • Operate an industrial sewing machine and follow work instructions
  • Ensure products are processed as per specifications
  • Following machine manuals, understand simple repairs and machine preventive maintenance and/or report major breakdowns
  • Change spools of thread verifying color and code numbers, bobbins, and light cleaning of equipment
  • All other duties as required

What you need to succeed:

  • Knowledge of measurement systems using metric/imperial
  • Strong English communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow shop packet, routing, cutting schedules, work instructions, PCS, SDS, technical drawings and other manufacturing documentation
  • Ability to use applicators such as scissors, and other small hand tools for cutting and assembly
  • Capable of working in a team environment
  • Detailorientated
  • Hand dexterity
  • Flexible and willing to accept new challenges
  • Valid Police Records Check paid by the company
