General Information:


Responsibilities:


  • Participates in all HR functions
  • Supports payroll and benefits
  • Ensure collection and control of disability and workers' compensation documents
  • Answer employee questions
  • Create and distribute documents
  • Administrative involvement in recruitment
  • Facilitate resolution of any payroll errors with the United States
  • Maintain current HR files and databases
  • Actively participate in the implementation of the new payroll system according to the specific needs of the Varennes plant, in collaboration with the U.S. team.
  • Support the implementation of various projects within the Human Resources department
  • All other related tasks
    Qualifications:To effectively perform the duties of a Human Resources Technician, individuals must be able to demonstrate a number of essential competencies for the position, including:
  • DEC in administration, human resources option, or relevant experience-
  • 2 to 3 years' relevant experience in human resources-
  • Positive attitude-
  • Be an agent of change, not content with the status quo-
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner-
  • Strong interpersonal skills-
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in French and English-
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to make efficient use of time-
  • Organized, precise, rigorous-
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Microsoft 365, SAP)-
  • Resourceful and autonomous-
  • Ability to adapt to change
