Job description
Responsibilities:
· Create and support new visualizations through reports, interactive dashboards, and analysis in Power BI/Tableau or other tools
· Work with various development teams to embed PowerBI visuals in Web and Mobile platforms
· Investigate and identify opportunities for data cleansing and/or changes to software controls
· Provide detailed source analysis and data mappings/transformations to developers
· Ability to do data modeling and data engineering services
· Be able to develop simple AI solutions for data processing
· Install, configure and maintain BI systems
· Create and ad-hoc reports through MS excel, PowerBI and Tableau
· Devise and deliver testing plan to validate BI solutions
· Assemble complex data sets that business requirements
· Develop custom ETLs and ELT process automations using SQL/Oracle
· Implement and work with DBA teams to understand data model, data transformation and management
Requirements:
· A post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Management or relevant experience
· 5+ years using Power BI or similar BI platform to deliver complex visuals (Azure embedded experience preferred)
· 3+ years proven experience working with MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle including: Procedures; Performance Tuning; Indexing; Triggers
· 2+ year data engineering experience
· 3+ years working with databases, warehouses and understanding of data lakes
· Must have good grasp of statistics and data analysis
· Good communication and data analysis skills
· A general understanding of data science and Python considered an asset
· Microsoft Data or BI certifications preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $71,401.90-$125,260.32 per year
