QUALIFICATIONS:

-
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and MS Excel

  • Working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce
  • Complete Grade 12
    , plus one year accounting certificate
-
2 to 4 years accounting clerk experience within a computerized environment and with a

collective agreement

  • Public Sector experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous and multicultural issues and demonstrated skill

- working cross culturally.
  • Excellent organizational, computer, data entry, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.

DUTIES:

With a demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of Child and Family All Nations
Coordinated Response Network, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, Accounts Payable
Clerk;

  • Assists payroll clerk by entering payroll data from timesheets into payroll system and check for
completeness.

  • Coding of A/P invoices with appropriate G/L codes
  • Enter A/P invoices and journal vouchers into Sage 50
  • Print appropriate edits, check for accuracy, process cheques for payment, mail, distribute

- cheques as required
  • Enter accounting data into tracking spreadsheets
  • Process employee mileage and other A/P documents
  • Core competencies for this position include communication, cultural competence, customer/client
focus, decision-making, collaboration, organizational ability, and stress tolerance.
