- Participate in the conceptual design and performance analysis of various aircraft configurations and lead numerous activities
- Help determine detailed requirements and formulate the design problem
- Establish performance parameters and measurable measures of merit for functional requirements
- Utilize a Multi-Disciplinary-Optimization (MDO) process, focusing on aircraft sizing and aircraft integration
- Explore multiple concepts and decide on a single design concept using a systematic decision-making process (trade study) model
- Act as an integrator/architect in tradeoff studies during the early design phases
- Liaise with internal and external partners on a technical basis on configuration design-related topics
- Provide detailed cost estimates, risk analyses and certification plan
- Perform technical Competitive Intelligence studies and investigations
- Contribute to the development of numerical tools for analysis and predictions
- Supervise engineering students' internships
- You have a university degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical engineering with at least eleven (11) years of aerospace experience
- You have at least five (5) years of experience in aircraft sizing/conceptual design as well as a good knowledge in aerodynamics, performance or stability & control
- You have experience in aircraft integration
- You have knowledge and experience with unconventional aircraft configurations
- Experience with CATIA V5 is an asset
- You are open minded, curious, rigorous and methodical
- You are able to work autonomously, take initiative and demonstrate entrepreneurship
- You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience
