Blackwater Gold - Construction of a gold mine crushing circuit and processing circuit


Location:
Near Vanderhoof, BC

Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off, 10 hour per day

Wage:
$47.35 per hour as per collective agreement

Benefits and RRSP Provided as per collective agreement

Camp Provided

Travel Available if Applicable

  • Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Erect and install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment
  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials
  • Attach cables from a crane or derrick and direct crane operators with hand signals or radios
  • Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts
  • Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures
  • Ensuring safe work practices, EH&S processes, and OH&S compliance are followed on site

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • To be considered for this position you must be a registered Journeyman or Apprentice in the trade of Ironworker
  • Experience with industrial or commercial construction
  • A positive attitude towards safety is expected and imperative
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • CSTS09 or CSTS 20


  • WHMIS 201

  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions, able to interpret drawings, bill of materials and various other specification
