About the Role
Influences successful business outcomes in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income and free cash flow for new and continuing programs. Provides business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy guidance. Analyzes new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives. Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions. Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations. Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures. Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process and overall contract administration. Establishes and maintains primary contractual interface with the customer. Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Review and interpret newly accepted major contracts and prepare contract summaries and participate in program kick-off meetings with internal departments and customers as required

Coordinate the acceptance of new contracts/purchase orders, complete customer acknowledgements and lead contract acceptance negotiations as required

Create or update project contracts or sales orders in ERP LN planning system:

Liaise and correspond with Finance, banks, and customers with respect to letters of credit (LOC) and bank guarantees:
-
Negotiate, prepare and submit documents in compliance with the LOC and bank guarantees

Provide support to Program Management and Customer Service departments by providing guidance on international shipments with respect to documentation, logistics, VAT, duties, etc

Review terms and conditions and related documents and develop suggested responses to major or complex customer Request for Proposals (RFP)

Develop and/or negotiate various agreements as required by the business (e.g. Non-Disclosures, Bailment, Licenses, Rental/ Lease Agreements, MOU/MOA, Teaming Agreements, etc.)

Coordinate significant issues with Legal Counsel and/or Corporate Contracts, as applicable

Required Capabilities

Proficient understanding of regulations for Government procurements (SAAC, FAR, DFARS, DEFCONS, etc.)

Sound understanding of financial and business risks related to terms and conditions

Ability to develop sound risk assessments and create terms and conditions compliance matrix responses for complex or strategic proposals and during subsequent contract acceptance process

Experience with international negotiations, preferably in the Middle-East / North Africa:

Effective negotiation skills with senior stakeholders both internally and with external customers:

Exceptional written and oral communication skills
