Job Opportunity:
Mammographer - Advanced Certifications Preferred

We are a leading healthcare institution seeking a dedicated and proficient Mammographer to join our team.

This position requires the successful completion of Mammo 1 and Mammo 2 courses, and experience in Bone Mineral Density (BMD) imaging.

Responsibilities:

Operate mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician.
Explain the procedure to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the process.
Position and immobilize the patient's breast in the unit, and observe the scanning process.
Assist radiologists in performing biopsies and presurgical exams when necessary.

Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Successful completion of Mammo 1 and Mammo 2 courses
Experience in BMD imaging
Valid certification as a Mammographer

Assets:

Certification in Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) with Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBMDT) designation from the Osteoporosis Canada is highly desirable.
