Business Development Manager Powerbit X


JOB SUMMARY:
Support the Epiroc vision "United in Performance.

Inspired by Innovation" by contributing continuously to a Customer-Value and a Customer-Care driven culture, and by living the Epiroc values "Interaction-Commitment-Innovation" in all-internal and external activities and relations.

Your mission is to accelerate the speed of creating ''game changing'' business in Canada related to PCD bits.

This will reposition Epiroc as a premium value creator for our customers through introducing technology that will make a significant impact to customer operations for both safety and productivity.

You will be responsible for development of the commercial model that fits the specifics of the new technology. This should incorporate promotion of the unique values and provide positive financial impact to both customers and Epiroc.

The goal is to provide positive customer experiences and ensure that the customer perceives and measures the total added value for their business with our technology.

Your activities need to generate sustainable business and create strong references for other customer development.


This is a challenging position within Epiroc involving working through complex issues for our customers, engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and promoting the solutions and capabilities of Epiroc's drilling consumables.

Your ability to approach your work methodically and your ability to prioritise tasks effectively will be key to your success in this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Management:

  • Manage customers at all levels to develop relationships that enable achievement of plans and objectives that include face to face interaction with customer.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliver timely customer service on all issues.
  • Regular visits to adhere to customer needs and requirements.
  • Document all customer visits, preplanned and executed. Ensure that a review and summary of the visit is completed.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular field tests as needed or advised by the Product Manager whilst adhering to any agreements negotiated with customers.
  • Prepare and submit field testing reports, highlighting results for Powerbit X, accurate reporting of the agreed KPI's with customers and actions for next steps.
  • Develop & implement innovative solutions to processes and procedures for Powerbit X field testing.

Market Research:

  • Actively reporting and communicating customer requirements, trends, issues and opportunities for PCD technology
  • Market opportunity analysis and reporting with the development of strategies to meet potential opportunities for PCD technology.

Develop Market:

  • Proactively work with all MR business areas to develop the market for PCD technology.
  • Develop a commercial model to maximize the value delivered from PCD technology for both customers and Epiroc.
  • Communicate market requirements to local and international team members.

Administration:

  • Additional administration duties as required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A background in sales, an understanding of business development, and account management.
  • A technical mindset you don't need to be an expert regarding machinery as you will be supported in that space.
  • Highly developed communication skills. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground with people approaching projects from differing perspectives.
  • Exposure to mining and related industries preferred but not essential.
  • A strong ability and desire to solve problems.
  • Develop & implement innovative solutions to processes and procedures for Powerbit X field testing.
  • Prepare and submit field testing reports, highlighting product results, accurate reporting of the agreed KPIs with customers actions for the next steps.
  • A competitive nature the desire to succeed for your customers, yourself and Epiroc.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in excelling in this role would be a strong asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Customer focused.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid proficiency in French preferred but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in English.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Organized, systematic, transparent & an energetic initiativetaker.
  • Inherently curious.
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Valid driver's license.
