Legendary Hospitality is looking to hire a professional driver for the summer/fall2023 season. We are looking for someone with full-time availability to assist our Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager.

Must be able to drive a manual transmission, right-hand side drive mini truck. This is a fast-paced, high volume environment with lots of stairs with both indoor and outdoor duties.

Job Summary
To offer a legendary hospitality experience by ensuring inventory levels are met by making prompt accurate deliveries to restaurants.

In this position you will be responsible for gaining and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food menu items, performing basic maintenance duties and communicating with the venue teams.

It is important to work as a team, keeping up good attitudes with coworkers and to display a joyful composure with guests.

Essential Competencies

Consistent punctuality and attendance
Able to adapt quickly to new situations and maintain composure in a fast paced, stressful environment
Understanding of the importance of compliance with regulations, policies, aand procedures
Responds positively to coaching and leadership, while effectively communicating issues and questions with management
Physically able to lift up to 45kg
Can drive a rightside, manual transmission foreign vehicle.
Safe and smart driver
Must possess a high degree of professionalism
Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude

Job Requirements

Current valid NS drivers license
Proof of insurance for the last 3 years
High school diploma
Delivery driver experience (asset)
Average understanding of food/bev handling procedures
Successful interviewees will need to submit a drivers abstract

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Communicating any quality or guest issues with management as soon as possible
Maintaining a positive attitude, never speaking poorly of guests or coworkers
Transport beer kegs, food and other items as required between the beer garden at Summit Plaza and the storage area on Grafton Street
Transport food and product to Durty Nellys, Antojo, Rooftop, Beer Garden, Salt Yard
Ensure deliveries are accurate
Ensure deliveries are made ontime
Pick up supplies at stores as required
Receiving orders and stocking
Drop off of catering equipment at events
Help solve client problems or requests in a prompt and professional manner
Represent the company on the road, while driving labeled company vehicles and making deliveries
Handle credit cards and checks for purchases
All other reasonable requests that are made by mangers, supervisors or owners
Ensure Health & Safety standards are complied with at all times
Foster a team environment at all times with coworkers, culinary staff, and service staff
Manage incoming deliveries
Maintain and cleanliness and organization dry goods and storerooms

Work Environment

Physical demands include walking and standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive twisting and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
Be able to work outside for a prolonged period of time
Must be able to lift 45kgs
Uniforms and PPE provided by LHG must be worn during work hours
