Nepean Optometric has been providing comprehensive eye care to Bells Corners and West Ottawa since 1980. Both our Team and Doctors have years of professional experience. We are searching for an optician with at least 2 years of edging experience to join our busy office.

What you'll do:

• Deliver exceptional customer service in collaboration with dedicated team members.
• Evaluate prescriptions and recommendations from Optometrists in order to make frame and lens choices that optimize patients' vocational and avocational vision needs.
• Provide the highest accuracy and attention to detail in daily tasks such as edging, inventory, order tracking and quality control.
• Adjust, repair, and dispense frames for patients.
• Support and oversee optical team members, checking work for accuracy and ensuring timely service.
• A genuine compassion for the health and wellbeing of our patients.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with patients, Optometrists, and other team members in a positive and supportive environment.
• Experience and knowledge to troubleshoot and optimally resolve issues if they arise.
• At least 2 years of edging experience to produce the highest quality products for our patients.
• The ability to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere in the optical lab and Eyewear Boutique.
• A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and reliable attendance.
• Availability to work full time with the possibility of some evening and Saturday hours, as well as some flexibility with scheduling.
