Description
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision. Project managers are needed on a wide variety of projects, including construction, IT, HR, and marketing.-
Responsibilities:_
- Overall project performance: cost, schedule, quality, and project status.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with the project team, trade contractors architects, consultants, and our clients.
- Project planning and execution.
- Ensures comprehensive project closeout.
- Manages project meetings.
- Mentors and coaches junior project staff.
- Assists in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and participating in proposals and presentations.
- Leads in negotiation of claims and disputes with the owner and sub trades.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:_
- A minimum of 5+ years progressive construction experience leading up to a Project Manager role.
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
- Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods and procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and trades people.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to solve problems related to construction, sequencing and staffing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
- This is a hybrid position which may involve overtime hours, working outdoors and occasional travelling.
- All current Safety Tickets (CSTS, EWP, Fall Pro, H2S Alive, and site specific)
Salary:
From $50.00 per hour

- Project management: 1 year (required)
