Role Details

  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Timing: 2:00pm 10:00pm
  • Immediate start available

A typical day as a Quality Control Technician includes:

  • Testing
  • performing all tests per SOPs in a timely manner so as to not disrupt production
  • Quick communication with the QC Manager of any outofspec results that occur, and placing these on hold where applicable
  • Instrumentation keeping all instruments cleaned and calibrated as per SOPs, and recording cleaning and calibrations in the associated logs
  • Reporting any operational issues with instruments to the QC Manager
  • Record keeping ensuring records of all tests are accessible and kept up to date
  • Assisting in the creation and/or approval of SOPs
  • Training new staff, when applicable

How your time will be organized:

  • 75% Lab work
  • 10% Retrieving samples and setting up tastings
  • 10% Data entry
  • 5% Meetings (daily production and weekly lab meetings)
  • Have strong computer skills, Office 365 and Google Workspace
  • Have flexible availability, and can work regular early morning starts
  • Have close attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a high paced environment, and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Enthusiastic, team orientated, and a quick learner
  • Ability to work under mínimal supervision, as well as in a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to problem solve effectively and handle multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 24 years of professional brewery experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or any other related field
  • Relevant Quality Control experience in a food production environment
