Position Summary:


The incumbent spends time advising prospective students and corporate training clients on programs available, learning outcomes associated with each course and program, pedagogical issues related to asynchronous program delivery, and computer system hardware and software requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receive, respond to, and convert inbound registration (sales) queries to fully enrolled students who may be selfsponsored or receiving tuition reimbursement from their employer.
  • This includes providing information to, building relationships with, and facilitating registrations of, prospective students into the Electronics, Electromechanical, Programmable Logic Controllers, Robotics and Automation online technical training certificate programs, as well as:
  • resolves routine student and instructor (tutor) complaints or problems with courses, virtual classrooms, or other course related issues.
- advises students on college and departmental policies and procedures.
- addresses prospect objections, including competitive comparisons, cost, accreditation, ease of use, etc.
- tracks prospect information and follow-ups through CRM system (Maximizer).
- obtains and processes registration information.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:


  • Minimum five (5) years of sales experience, preferably in a corporate training/adult education environment.
  • Must have experience calling on managers, training directors, and/or human resources administrators.
  • Experience in a fastpaced, call center environment is required.
**Skills and Attributes: - Must be energetic, articulate, and proficient in English. Fluency in a second language is preferred but not essential.

  • Excellent problemsolving skills, ability to troubleshoot and resolve conflict exercising tact, discretion, and sound judgment; ability to prioritize.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.

  • The College requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal postsecondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer.
  • First consideration will be provided to regular part time (RPT) support staff in accordance with the part time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
