PART-TIME TO START (20-30HRS/WEEK). OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME FULL-TIMEProject Planning and Coordination:
Overview:
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project manager to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Execute work plans and schedules for the construction crew.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of landscape construction workers.
- Provide guidance and support to crew members, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Hardscape Installation:
- Oversee the installation of various hardscape elements, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, wood fences and outdoor structures.
- Ensure proper construction techniques and methods are employed.
Softscape Installation:
- Lead the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements.
- Ensure proper soil preparation and planting techniques.
Equipment Operation:
- Class 5 licence and experience driving a truck and trailer.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, and compactors.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to design specifications.
- Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure crew members are trained on proper safety procedures.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction through the delivery of highquality construction services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape construction, with a focus on hardscape and softscape installations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Proficient in operating construction equipment.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Spanish is an asset.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications in construction management or landscaping are a plus).
