Maintenance Assistant - Surrey, Canada - Sunnyside Produce Ltd.

Description

The applicant should be hands on when it comes to maintenance and should be able to troubleshoot basic electrical/mechanical issues.

• Sunnyside Produce is a family owned company that grows bell peppers, mini sweet peppers and crescendo peppers for the North American market. We currently have 85 acres of the most hightech greenhouses in the world._

• Assist in greenhouse harvest postharvest machinery maintenance grading equipment
• Assist in repairs to tray formers, conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, and motors,
• Assist in Irrigation repairs, pump, valves, motors
• Assist in Wood/Gas boiler repairs
• Assist in Emergency repairs as needed
• Assist in Repairs to glass washing equipment
• Assist in repair of compressors, cooling equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical
• Coordinate other trades for repairs if it cannot be fixed by our team

• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Basic welding skills (MIG/Stick)
• Basic fabrication skills
• Prior greenhouse experience would be a bonus
• Organized and able to keep parts inventory
• Good planning skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well with minimum supervision
