Roles & Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and build electronic components from a blueprint.
- Make recommendations for replacement or modification of electronic equipment and repair and/or replace electronic components.
- Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment.
- Set up and perform circuit tests.
- Ensure quality of the product.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Completion of college degree or diploma at a vocational or technical training
- 23 years of related experience is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience using power & hand tools.
- Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.
- Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral) & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of transformers, relays, magnetic contactors, and motor protectors is an asset
- Knowledge of PLC is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Commercial/Industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
- Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
- Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
- Long periods of standing.
- Overtime as required.
