Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and build electronic components from a blueprint.
  • Make recommendations for replacement or modification of electronic equipment and repair and/or replace electronic components.
  • Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment.
  • Set up and perform circuit tests.
  • Ensure quality of the product.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Completion of college degree or diploma at a vocational or technical training
  • 23 years of related experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using power & hand tools.
  • Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral) & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of transformers, relays, magnetic contactors, and motor protectors is an asset
  • Knowledge of PLC is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Overtime as required.
