- Flexible schedule; must be available evenings and weekends
Primary Job Objective as a Residence Events and Activities Coordinator:
- To plan and deliver new opportunities and activities/social events which are age appropriate and on and off-site.
- To supervise social activities on and offsite.
- To support House staff in being responsible for equipment/Risk Assessments and Health & Safety whilst running Activities.
- To assist with advertising and promoting student events.
- To encourage residential students to take part in social activities
Responsibilities
To adopt a flexible approach to fulfilling the job description and person specification which will involve weekend and evening work and participation
- To proactively ensure that FEIA's activities are carried out in accordance with organisational strategy, legislation and best practice in terms of Diversity and Equality
- Sustain and promote the mission, vision and values of FEIA
- Undertake any other duties as directed that can reasonably be accommodated within the scope and salary range for the job and your expertise The duties and responsibilities highlighted in this job description are indicative and may vary over time reflecting changes to internal and external factors. Education, Experience and Skills
Requires demonstration of strong leadership skills to work as part of a team; planning and organizational skills; skills to promote and support student activities as well as staff needs; problem solving skills; skills to support student success; service-related people skills; verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills to balance demands of a multitasking position; technology skills in the areas of office software, and office equipment operation; and knowledge of legal liability.
- Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Diploma in Education, Child & Youth Care or equivalent
- Leadership experience and experience working in a Boarding School is preferable
- Experience dealing with people, and in particular, adolescents, sensitively, empathetically, tactfully, consistently and professionally at all times
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish priorities, organize, schedule and solve problems and tasks.
- CPR Level C First Aid certification to be obtained within one month of employment, AED considered an asset
- Class G Driver's license, reliable vehicle
- Strong computer skills a must
Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed
