SCOPE

Reporting to the Special Advisor, Systems Integration, the incumbent is part of the Concordia UNITY Services Centre of Expertise for Human Resources, Finance, Payroll and Procurement services.

The incumbent leads the delivery of uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, consistency and accountability of SAP master data, users role assignment, and processes to ensure the wellbeing and evolution of the Unity solution.

They also manage, resolve and collaborate to resolve stakeholder FIS services request in relation with the Unity solution.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the UNITY center of expertise, manage professional staff, including hiring and training, and ensure that all work is properly aligned with the established leadership strategic planning. Recommend and collaborate on the strategic plan to ensure the UNITY Services (Human Resources, Finance Payroll and Procurement) and UNITY Services Center of Expertise evolution, quality and adoption by the Concordia community. Assess process strengths and weaknesses utilizing analysis and analytical procedures, transaction testing, bench marking of best practices across the Universities, and external research to determine optimal techniques for improving effectiveness and efficiency of business operations as it relates to systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong, close, productive, and integrated relationships with Financial Services, Human Resources and Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS) process owners and teams, in light of the UNITY vision of an information system, to provide expertise, advise and leadership to deliver an exceptional UNITY Services Centre of Expertise for the Concordia Community.
  • Positive leader of the evolution of the UNITY solution for Human Resources, Finance, Payroll and Procurement processes through trouble shooting actions, confirming the quality of the master data, collaborating with the short term and longterm solution enhancements, reviewing that system jobs are performed timely, ensuring integration through all SAP S/4 HANA modules, Ariba, Concur, etc., as well as, all inbound and outbound interfaces included in UNITY. Understanding and optimizing the user security & data access.
  • Support and help maintain excellent customer service through training and documentation, with the change management for process owners, core units' teams, as well as, with all UNITY's users amongst our community to provide a high level of services, comfort and trust with the different UNITY services; including the management of the ticketing system request.
  • Actively contribute to the UNITY Services and UNITY Services Center of expertise people development plan and monitoring, and provide on the job mentoring and coaching.
  • Responsible for other projects and activities proposed by Special Advisor, Systems Integration that will enhance and develop the capacity, agility, and stability of UNITY.
  • Work with workstreams' key stakeholders, process owners, and end users to help gain buyin, acceptance and support of the UNITY vision.
  • Assess and manage risks and issues and the escalation process as required.
  • Work in partnership with the ITTS resources to identify technical solutions to business needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS or in a field related to the primary responsibilities and 4 to 7 years of experience in project management and Financial Information Systems. At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role.
  • Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMP) is an asset.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba and Concur.
  • Knowledge of the SAP S/4 HANA Payroll, SAP SuccessFactors, Workforce software and Sodales.
  • Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English. Basic knowledge (Level 3) of spoken French. Written French is an asset.
  • Good knowledge (intermediate level) of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Proven experience in people management, team
