Morrison Hershfield's Transit Group provides planning, design and construction administration services for bus rapid transit, light rail transit, commuter rail, subway, stations, maintenance facilities and state of good repair projects.

We are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler to complement our transit team in the GTHA. The Scheduler will play a lead role in the delivery of large multi-year projects for clients. Assignments may include the requirement to work from the client's premises in the GTHA.


Responsibilities:


  • Timely identification, notification, resolution, and recording of deviations from the current plan, including items that have the potential for future impact within project scope
  • Prepare project plans including, work breakdown structures, scheduling, cost plan, quality plan, and change management plan
  • Manage the financial health of the project, including variance reporting for both schedule and cost
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of management dashboards and executive summaries
  • Lead resource management support including roll on roll off, resource tracking and reporting
  • Ensure completion of administrative tasks such as project operations support, deliverable management, communication support and project/service management tooling support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a similar role
  • Post Secondary education in a related discipline
  • Prior experience on rail and transit project
  • Can supervise teams of professionals on projects
  • Performs complex tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures involved in the scheduling function, with proven experience in the construction process and technology
  • Handson experience in planning and preparing logic diagrams, critical path networks and bar charts, with particular emphasis on detailed construction schedules
  • Sound understanding of basic engineering and construction methodologies; ability to read construction drawings and specifications
