Role Overview:

The Field Technician Manager's primary focus will be to oversee the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of our HVAC, smart home, air, and water purification product assortments.

Day-to-day tasks on the installation line of business will involve onboarding and managing a team of technicians, optimizing their performance and productivity, and monitoring costs associated with materials and equipment.

On the service side, you will primarily focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing complex technical issues, providing expert guidance to customers, and directing technicians to deliver effective first call resolution and memorable customer experiences.

Your strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to business growth will play a crucial role in achieving operational success and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of HVAC technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the efficient resource allocation and timely completion of installs and service calls by providing technicians with remote guidance and support during onsite repairs and installations to ensure accurate and efficient resolution.
  • Monitor and drive the performance of inhouse technicians and subcontractors by providing training to ensure highquality workmanship, customer satisfaction, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to work schedule.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for installation and service activities, optimizing efficiency, quality, safety and memorable customer experiences.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with materials, equipment, and subcontractors, by auditing all inhouse and subcontractor invoices, and ensuring effective utilization of resources and adherence to budget.
  • Document all installs and service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to HVAC systems, incorporating relevant knowledge into team processes and practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to audit and assess the progress and quality of installations and service work, providing guidance and resolving any issues or challenges that arise.

What You Bring

Must-haves

  • Proven experience in HVAC field management, with a strong focus on growth, process optimization, and cost control.


  • Gas Fitter

  • G1 Gas Fitter License
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation practices, troubleshooting, and service procedures.
  • Strong leadership, motivational and teambuilding skills, with the ability to develop a highperforming team of techs.
  • Solid understanding of cost management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills at interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Salary:
$100,000.00-$117,000.00 per year
