Job Description:


What you can expect in a typical day:

Experience a dynamic day as a Bulk Plant Operator where you'll balance inventory stock, maintain terminal access, ensure PMI upkeep, and supervise product movement, all while providing top-notch customer support to our valued Drivers.

Your roles and responsibilities:
Perform Inventory Stock Balancing- Complete and file reports, including but not limited to:

  • Meter throughput by product
  • Stock report
  • Update inventory spreadsheet


Perform Staff /Customer/Vendor entry to terminal- Sign in visitors and contractors verifying identification Issue work permits (hot/cold work, confined space) verifying safe and secure working conditions for contractors and internal personnel.- Ensure authorization and supervision of contractors.- Coordinate fire watch with contractors/firemen.

Sign in fire watch and advise them of work site safety procedures and locations.

Perform PMI Maintenance- PMI filing- Work order completion sheets


Perform Customer Driver Support- Provide customer driver support in building loads in automated loading systems.- Provide driver orientation training on use of terminal systems, safety and security.

- Issue driver entry cards, cancel lost and re-issue- Enter new trucks into system - enter data and ensure approval- Receive customer truck vapour tests and proof of insurance - ensure compliance- Provide product and rack information to drivers- Enforce safety and security procedures and ban

Supervise Product Movements (Truck and Rail)- Spotting railcars- Gather gauging information - quality (Propane Only)

Daily Operations- Complete of SPCC/terminal ops checklist - daily- Complete end of day inventory report BOL organization/review/sorting

Professional skills- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude- Must possess excellent analytical and math skills- Must be able to multi-task operational duties on a daily basis- Ability to recognize basic hazards and prioritize accordingly- Must demonstrate responsibility and accept accountability for decisions and how they affect others Ability to work efficiently and adapt to constant-changing environment

Travel

Travel is not a requirement for this position


Education and experience- Post-secondary education preferred- Prior industrial operations experience an asset- Experience in material handling in related industry preferred- Proficiency in basic computer skills: MS Office- Must be able to safely lift up to 75 lbs., climb steps, stairs and ladders up to 50 ft.

above ground level without limitations- Must be safe and comfortable to work (wearing safety gear) around high voltage and rotating equipment- Must have valid driver's license- 1-3 years of applicable operations experience
