- Program manage and serve as the Single Point of Contact for the entire TELUS Licensee (P408) Program
- Handle all financial, engineering, construction, relations, and general operations management related to the program
- Provide expertise on engineering design, detailed system usage, corporate and regulatory policy for TELUS infrastructure provisioning
- Ensure quality standards for the entire P408 process including applications, designs, and deliverables
- Coordinate with developers, government, and municipal officials to communicate schedules and solutions related to any TELUS P408 application and processes
- Support all joint use pole programs with BC Hydro and other power authority infrastructure
- Establish and analyze reports to identify gaps, opportunities, and forecasts for the TELUS Licensee Program
- Professional Engineer (with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) membership, current or in progress)
- Familiarity with accepted engineering standards and practices for TELUS Licensee networks and projects
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry
- Experience in outside plant infrastructure, technologies, networks, fiber optic infrastructure, and engineering processes and regulatory policies
- Detailed engineering knowledge of drafting & design systems and tools like SAP, AutoCAD, SpatialNet, with experience in producing designs based on engineering economic analysis and network standards
- Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines and effectively engage with external clients
- Solid background in Programming and Automation
- Data analytics for business, finance, and project insights, reports, and dashboards
- Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in handling municipal, provincial, and federal stakeholders in a highly regulated environment

The Customer Network Planning (CNP) team handles the deployment of TELUS PureFibre network from end to end. The Strategic Infrastructure Assets (SIA) team is in charge of TELUS asset growth and maintenance to ensure our network remains reliable for our customers. The TELUS Licensee Program, also known as the P408 Program or TELUS Support Structure Access (SSA) Program, is a service mandated by CRTC to provide TELUS support structure access to external telecommunications service providers registered as CLECs in Alberta and British Columbia.
As a Design Specialist II, you will collaborate with various internal TELUS teams like Planning, Project Management, Construction, Business, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, and external government and telecommunications stakeholders to advance connectivity.
