Mandatory Skills:

• University graduation in business, management or related discipline & 4-yr Project Management (PM) experience;
• 2yr diploma in business, management or related discipline & 6yr PM experience;
• 1yr certificate in business, management or related discipline & 7yr PM experience;
• 8yr PM experience

Experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex data warehouse development project in an environment of similar size and complexity to the Government of Alberta
:

• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Experience defining project vision, scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk and decision logs, and project closure documents.
• Experience managing teams (of at least 5 team members) who develop custom data warehouse solutions.

• Experience successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations.
• Proposed resource has agreed to an Enhanced Security Check upon contract award, which will be coordinated by GoA.
• Must have the last 3 years continuous residency in either Canada or United States as minimum.

• Proposed resource must work from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
• Standard Hours of work are 08:1 16:30 Alberta time
• GoA does not pay for travel to attend onsite meetings

• Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across and outside the organization, including executive level.
• Experience leading project governance, change management and communication activities.
• Experience working in or for the public sector.
• Experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, and guidelines within limited timelines.
• Experience exercising resourcefulness when making recommendations on highly technical or complex business issues without formal guidelines or precedents.
• Experience working with business and technical teams on complex IMT projects.
• Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments.
• Experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets.

Job Type:

Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Pay:
$60.00-$70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• PMP certificate: 1 year (required)
• Project manager: 10 years (required)
