    Summary


    Are you an experienced Equipment Operator looking for a change? Are you looking to be a part of a company that values your contributions and can provide continuous opportunities for growth? E Construction, a division of N.P.A., is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join it's base crew based out of Cold Lake, AB for the upcoming 2024 Construction Season

    The successful person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of equipment utilized in the road building process.

    Key Responsibilities



    • Operate the equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.

    • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.

    • Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.

    • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.

    • Operate equipment on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.

    • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of various equipment.

    • Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.

    • Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.

    Qualifications | Requirements



    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

    • Class 5 Drivers License.

    • Minimum 2 years' experience within the road construction industry.

    • 2 - 3 years' experience operating a Dozer and Loader or other piece of Heavy Equipment.

    Working Conditions

    • Schedule of Monday - Saturday, up to 12 hours per day (weather dependent). Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
    • Accommodations and LOA may be applicable.
    • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
    • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
    • Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
    • Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
    • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
