    Description
    Position Overview:
      As a member of the Applied Physics team, you will contribute to the development of our magnetized target fusion (MTF) power plant.

    The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and can stay focused on goals while operating in a fast-paced development environment.

    The responsibilities include analyzing diagnostic data from General Fusion plasma experiments to develop comprehensive hypotheses for evolution of plasma characteristics and reconcile them with simulation results and reconstructions,
      proposing new experimental campaigns and corresponding simulations to answer key questions regarding plasma parameter evolution and optimization of MTF targets,
      curating and interpreting experimental data,
      working with the simulation, reconstruction, and diagnostic teams to develop dynamic models of spherical tokamak (ST) plasmas under compression,
      communicating your results to both technical and non-technical audiences via presentations,
