Overview

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.


Lead & Assistant PM positions will be responsible to ensure that the installation and integration of the assigned transit subsystem is completed ahead of schedule and will lead and guide a team of construction project professionals to execute different subsystems such as CCTV/IAC (Intrusion Access Control), PA (Public Address), PVIS (Passenger Visual Information System), Telephony, DAS (Distributed Antenna System), WiFi.


Responsibilities

Lead / Assistant PM Roles:

  • Liaises with internal departments and functions to achieve integration plans
  • Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained.
  • Pushes and maintains the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestone and completion dates.
  • Provides relationship building and schedule understanding to construction team members, capitalizing on opportunities for efficiency and windows to push installation and integration work ahead.
  • Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets
  • Focus on interface and relationship with the operator of the ECLRT.
  • Lead and organize meetings with clients, stakeholders and external members;
  • Manage budget, headcount and develop schedule to meet project deliverables;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma related to mechanical/electrical engineering, technology, or computer science, or sufficient work experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience within rail systems on major construction projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transit systems, and subsystems are needed.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Problem solving, mediation, gap analysis and recognition, assertive yet fair communication skills
  • Exemplar communication skills, keen attention to detail, motivated selfstarter, team player

Preference for:
Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Project Management Professional (P.M.P).

  • Experience with control systems (PLC, SCADA, RTU) troubleshooting, upgrades, lifecycle management and interfacing with different vendors.
  • Experience with WiFi/DAS/Cellular coordination
  • Must have strong communications skills (in English) both verbal and written
  • Considerable skill in data management, recordkeeping, research, analysis and reporting

Lead / Assistant PM position:

  • 5+ years of experience within rail systems on major construction projects
  • Completed education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline is a strong asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transit systems, and subsystems are needed.

Physical Demands

  • Able to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Walking, lifting, etc. ability to use stairs, ladders and climb over rough terrain.
  • Primary work location is project segment/site office (along Eglinton transit line).
  • Work location flexibility within GTA desirable.
