    We are recruiting for an Analyst/Senior Analyst in the Real Assets Business Management ("RABM") group within the Real Assets Investment Department. The role is based in Toronto and will report directly to the head of the RABM team.

    Role-specific Accountabilities:

    • Support the capital management process for RA, across all Investment Groups, including deep dive analysis into RA portfolio actuals, updating monthly pipeline cash requirements, and tracking overall capital usage against the approved budget
    • Collect and provide relevant portfolio exposure / investment activity data for the department to support Board, Senior Management Team (SMT), intra-department (e.g. reports by Finance, Analytics and Risk Department) and department reporting
    • Support collection and provide oversight and review of all investment activities and critical data elements for all RA investment groups
    • Support review of operating performance for RA (e.g. analyzing operating expense and investment expense performance vs. budget, including major drivers of divergence)
    • Execute ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business management and investment decisions as needed
    Qualifications
    • An undergraduate degree preferably in commerce or economics
    • 1-2 years of finance and/or investment related experience; experience in financial/management reporting, databases and/or investment-process management is a definite asset.
    • Highly organized, proven attention to accuracy and detail and an ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize and manage multiple projects
    • Extremely motivated, takes initiative and proactively seeks opportunities to add value
    • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills; ability to solve multi-dimensional problems
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), and keen on learning new systems and applications
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships effectively with people at all levels
    • Proven ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to thrive in non-structured environment
