Analyst, Revenue Management - Toronto, Canada - Porter Airlines Inc.
Description
This position is responsible for managing the company's seat inventory and pricing across its network for optimal revenue generation. This position reports to the Manager, Revenue Management - Inventory Optimization.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement Porter's seat inventory management strategy and tactics for assigned markets and align day to day inventory controls on the basis of the adopted strategyAnalyze passenger demand using the RMS and other tools in order to determine and implement optimal seat inventory allocation strategyPerform reporting and detailed analysis of KPIs, track performance versus goals, find revenue opportunities to close revenue leakage holesIdentify yield maximization opportunities and recalibrate the RM System to achieve best possible resultsMonitor and analyze competitor fare initiatives and day-to-day pricing/seat inventory adjustments to ensure competitiveness.
Liaise with internal group department to ensure support is provided when required on a timely mannerSupport all commercial and/or applicable operational initiatives to successful completionEnsure data and revenue integrity are paramount in all day-to-day processes, databases and dashboards.
Active participation in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operation; understand comply and promote the Company Safety PolicyEnsure Company Values are ingrained in day-to-day operationsOther duties as assignedBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Network Planning, Strategic Planning, Operational Research, Mathematics or Engineering is required. MBA or M.Sc in the above fields is a plusPrevious airline pricing and revenue management experience is an asset.
Understanding of Connecting, direct and nonstop traffic type and they impact on revenue performances is an assetWorking knowledge of industry revenue management systems is a plusFamiliarity with GDS systems, Navitaire and ATPCO is an assetAdvanced proficiency in MS Office (focus on Excel) is mandatoryKnowledge of VBA is an assetProficiency with database management tools ( like SQL etc) is an assetFamiliarity with data modeling tools (PowerQuery, Tableau etc.)
is an assetStrong quantitative and analytical skillsStrong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in high pressure environmentIndependently performs analysis aimed to suggest problems solution or the optimization of revenue opportunitiesAbility to work remotely in an efficient environment- Mandatory COVID19 Vaccination
