Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance parts and development coordinator is responsible for providing parts, technical solutions and continuous improvement processes for maintenance department

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Source and order new (not listed in parts system) parts/supplies for plant machinery
  • Source and order substitutes for existing parts/supplies in order to reduce cost, replace obsolete parts or process improvement
  • Develop and review existing list of parts in stock to determine minimum/maximum inventory levels as well as necessary parts to keep in stock but keeping cost to minimum
  • Review maintenance staff agendas to identify trends in equipment malfunctions, identify parts or procedural changes PM needed
  • Review parts taken from machines to identify trends in equipment malfunctions, identify parts or procedural changes (PMs, stock levels) needed
  • Prepare and enter work orders to ensure uninterrupted equipment functioning
  • Verify existing work orders/work orders entered by other departments to ensure that all resources ready for successful execution (provide additional descriptions with parts location, practices)
  • Develop new PM procedures for continues improvement of equipment reliability and prevention of breakdowns.
  • Develop and maintain equipment database including labelling of all equipment and piping
  • Develop and maintain documentation database for all equipment
  • Develop and maintain accurate database of spare parts
  • Develop technical solution, source parts and ideas for process, machinery improvements
  • Liaise with all Departments to assure that their equipment parts requirements are met in timely fashion.
  • Constantly look for possible improvements in current production process to minimize cost of production and to improve efficiency. Provide support for another departments in CI initiatives
  • Assist in maintenance department continuous improvement initiatives including developing new maintenance practices and training program
  • Other duties as assigned
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years Maintenance technical experience is required.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
  • Trade license or degree from technical school or university
  • Must be selfmotivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.
  • Understands the operation of all plant equipment/machinery.
  • Proficiency and dependability in current position.
