    Description

    Position Purpose

    This position requires a highly motivated and results oriented sales professional with significant expertise in direct sales who has broad knowledge of the Industrial Packaging market. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing current as well as future distributor accounts as well as engaging end-users in order to promote IPG products within Ontario, Canada. This includes territory and sales call planning, account management and monitoring of results. The primary objective is to achieve the annual sales budget.

    Principle Accountabilities

  • Ensure effective sales coverage is maintained for the territory and that priorities and objectives for each account are continually monitored and updated.
  • Establish and build relationships with distributor's management and sales force, focusing on Strategic Partners and Allied Distributors.
  • Train our distributer's sales force on Intertape products while focusing on end-user activity and market penetration.
  • Monitor sales vs. forecasts and trends in relation to company objectives and competitive activities.
  • Support marketing and product development by providing regular feedback regarding customer requirements, new market opportunities and competitive developments.
  • Work proactively with customer service and the pricing team to resolve any outstanding issues within 24 hours.
  • Documentation of end-user focus by utilizing the customer relationship management software in a routine and timely manner (minimum once a week) with quality targets, initiatives and other sales activities.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of distributor relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, in Marketing or related field.
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning.
  • Competency with PowerPoint, MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Superior communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence.
  • Sharp and innovative professional with exceptionally strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over 1-2 year time span.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
