Position Title:
Part Time Branch Associate - General Labourer

The Part Time Branch Associate's primary responsibilities are to cut wire rope and cable, re-build false car equipment, warehouse housekeeping and assist other Branch Associates with duties that include warehousing and picking and shipping activities.

The Part Time Branch Associate is responsible to work cooperatively with the Cut-Line Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager and other members of the team to reach the branch's operations goals.

Essential Functions & Expectations:

Set up cut-line by moving rope and cable to cut-line racks using fork truck

Cut wire rope and cable to length on specialty cut-line machinery

Prepare cut to length product for shipping or warehousing

Set up false car rebuild area by moving equipment to location

Rebuild false car equipment (false car, platform, canopies)

Clean and measure out rental power cords

Prepare rental equipment for shipping or warehousing

Assist Branch Associates with receiving, sorting and recording of returned false car product

Assist with Henning equipment calibrations and repairs

Heavy lifting of bulky components and equipment as necessary

Picking and packaging orders in preparation for shipment

Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary

General warehouse duties as required

Inside and outside of warehouse upkeep

Potential to deliver goods to customers

Recommending new procedures to improve efficiencies

Taking ownership for customer satisfaction and striving for excellence by achieving and exceeding expectations


Qualifications
Class G drivers license (G1 or G2 will be considered)

Ability to lift heavy bulky items

Ability to pass a fork truck operator's course

Good verbal and written communication skills

Able to multi-task, manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Must be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends if work load requires it


Work Environment
Work is primarily performed indoors in a branch warehouse

This is an entry level part time labourer position requiring a commitment to putting in the necessary hours to complete the essential functions as outlined

Hours will be in a minimum of 4 hour blocks each day or as agreed upon between Part Time Branch Associate and Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager

This position has the potential to lead to full time employment based dependent upon the available work load
