Position Description:

The System Administrator will be responsible for the design and development of new interfaces.

You will work with the other members of the interface team using the Java-based JavaCAPS 6.2 Integration Engine (Repository Mode) to integrate the interfaces to or from the hospital systems, using in-house standards.


Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Work closely with users, Application team members, Stakeholders, HR Systems Analysts, Business Analysts and internal IT staff to analyze/resolve system problems
  • Participate in major projects, upgrades of existing functionality and implementation of new modules
  • Ensure functional/business requirements are clear and translated into appropriate technical documentation and development which meets the business requirements
  • Serve as liaison between the various stakeholders and internal IT

Here's What You'll Need

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of HTML /Javascript development
  • Strong background with PeopleTools (at least 2 years on version 8.4 or higher) SQR, SQL, PeopleCode, Crystal Reports, Application Engine, PeopleSoft Component Interface/Integration Tools, PeopleSoft Application Messaging
  • Good knowledge of traditional (e.g. C, Cobol) and object oriented (e.g. Visual Basic, C++) programming environments
  • Knowledge of UNIX, Oracle, Cold Fusion, and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel ) are strong assets
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound programming techniques
  • Resilience and creativity
  • Ability to work in a team or independantly to carry out entire projects
