We are looking for someone to fill this highly influential role within our Human Resources team.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be a leader and partner in determining the future of the employee journey at Northview Fund.


The
Manager, Payroll & Analytics is a key leader in Northview's Human Resources department and a partner to the organization's business leaders, focused on payroll and benefits administration along with driving operational success through analytics and reporting within a dynamic and engaged culture aligned with Northview's vision and strategic goals.


Key Accountabilities:


Payroll and Benefits

  • Manage and oversee the endtoend payroll process (biweekly pay cycle) including pay calculations, timekeeping, third party remittances, taxable benefit reconciliation, PIER reporting and yearend government filings;
  • Supervise, train, and coach payroll team;
  • Oversee employee file management; ensuring files are organized, contain mandatory documentation, and are kept confidential and secure;
  • Monitor and review employment standards and other legislation to ensure compliance;
  • Maintain documents and files for all relevant payroll processes;
  • Identify ways to improve payroll efficiencies and recommend changes to internal processes where necessary;
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of data is maintained and that transactions comply with government and internal audit requirements;
  • Liaise with external payrollrelated regulatory bodies including CRA, Service Canada, Employment Standards and WCB;
  • Present information to Northview employees and managers on a variety of payroll and benefits topics;
  • Support the administration of Northview's annual compensation cycle;
  • Support the management and administration of Northview employee benefits program, including oversight of new employee enrolment and the annual the annual benefits renewal process.

Analytics

  • Manage the collection of data and metrics to develop and prepare reports and KPIs for presentation and use by the HR department and senior leadership;
  • Manage and implement metrics and analytics (compensation benchmarking, surveys, monthly, annual, and adhoc reporting) to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce;
  • Analyze data and statistics for trends regarding various key performance metrics (KPI's) such as recruitment practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws;
  • Optimize and implement new data processes and systems as required;
  • Compile reports of data results and present these to senior managers with analysis or recommendations of findings;
  • Partner and collaborate with the HR leadership team and other members of senior management to identify and recommend reasonable short
- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics;

  • Collect data on payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, employment records, and exit interviews.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the role of
Manager, Payroll & Analytics you'll need the following**:

  • A PCP or CPM designation and 5-7 years of progressive experience culminating in a leadership role with responsibility for payroll and benefits in a medium sized company;
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial statutes, payroll reporting requirements and the administration of benefit plans;
  • Superior analytical skills combined with initiative, sound judgment, flexibility, research, and decisionmaking competence;
  • Knowledge of ADP (Workforce Now)/human resource information systems including demonstrated ability to build customized reports;
  • Project management and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple and competing priorities;
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships; commitment to internal and external customer excellence;
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively with mínimal supervision.
