is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:


_MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR_


Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordination of activities associated with the Maintenance department to ensure efficient and optimal productivity of our operations at Plasman.

This will be completed by engaging the team of technicians through a collaborative effort to provide support and expertise to all aspects of our operations related to the Maintenance department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Oversee and assist in the electrical, pneumatic and general repair by maintenance of all equipment

  • Oversee that the Preventive Maintenance System is being performed within manufacturers specifications including printing, closing and monitoring PM completion status
  • Directing and coordinating all Technician activities within the maintenance department and assisting when necessary
  • Responsible for tracking Technician work schedules and entering into E-Maintenance

  • Required to managing employee time in the payroll system
  • Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks and act as a trainer in various areas of expertise
  • Ensuring personal and associate awareness, understanding and conformance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Optimize manufacturing process operations thru analytical studies of the current operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes on a continuous basis.
  • Analyze and control Spare Parts Inventory and initiate appropriate activities to improve
  • Participate in a crossfunctional internal continuous improvement activities and document aspects of R&D for claiming purposes.
  • Commission, sign off and implement equipment for secondary operations from process engineering and maintenance department
  • Participate in the design, commission and installation of all plant equipment (process & assembly) as required
  • Manage all outside contractors and ensure Plasman Safety Procedures are always followed

  • Responsible for maintaining the rack preventative maintenance system

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Comply with established rules, procedures, and Health and Safety Mandates
  • Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation.

  • Ensure that all employees comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures, and participate in corrective action activities as necessary
  • Complete any other duties as assigned
  • Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools.
  • Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks

MINIMUM EDUCATION/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS**:


  • Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Ticket in a provincial recognized Industrial Maintenance designation and or equivalent experience.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have 810 years process control and troubleshooting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
  • Experience with PLC (Rockwell, Omron), Robotics (ABB,Fanuc) is preferred (TIL)
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to be trained on E-Maintenance program

  • Have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all equipment and computer.
  • Knowledgeable in integrated manufacturing technology as it relates to the facility.
