We have an opportunity for an
Energy Settlements Analyst to join our Mississauga team.

The Energy Settlements Analyst works with Market Operations and Finance to ensure settlements for demand response programs across North America are processed accurately and on-time.

The Energy Settlements Analyst also provides insight to customers by delivering settlement estimates, shadow invoices, meter data reports and much more.


Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Corporate Controller, the Energy Settlements Analyst is highly organized with strong attention to detail.

You are an Excel expert with experience developing tools to streamline business processes, while minimizing risk.

You are knowledgeable and passionate about the energy industry, eager to become an industry expert and support a sustainable energy future.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly estimates of demand response program revenues and contributor payments for IESO, and the Northeast U.S. ISO markets
  • Reconcile invoices to internal estimates, taking action to investigate and followup on differences
  • Prepare demand response settlement statements for contributors in accordance with contract terms and program rules
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly settlement estimates, shadow invoices, and meter data reports to customers for a variety of energy markets and programs
  • Collect and analyze electricity meter data underlying settlements to verify data integrity and changes in contributor meter systems
  • Own all settlement related tools including the design, development, execution, and continuous improvement of the tools
  • Ensure settlements tools are updated to align with market rule changes
  • Research energy markets and programs to support Rodan's growing business
  • Document business processes and policies in collaboration with Market Operations and Finance
  • Support and lead special projects related to energy market data and settlements
Other tasks as required

  • Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, including courses in finance and accounting
years experience in a financial analyst or similar role

  • Electricity industry knowledge gained through prior employment, education, or personal interest
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using Excel for data analysis, modeling and reporting/dashboarding
  • Experience developing formal reports, models and presentations that are professional and tailored to users needs
  • Experience reviewing, assessing, documenting processes and implementing improvements
  • Experience researching topics and presenting findings
