ADESA Winnipeg is looking for an experienced individual to join our Operations team.

ADESA, a division of KAR, is a leading vehicle remarketing company in North America.

Our business requires a wide range of knowledge and skill sets to lead our company and service our customers.

The Advisor of mechanical services will report directly to the Operations Manager. We are looking for a personable service advisor to act as the liaison between our customers and service technicians. The service advisor's responsibilities include listening to requests, scheduling appointments, and estimating costs.

The service advisor will ensure customer service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues and problems, determining the repair timeline, and working with technicians to convey the customers' concerns with accurate repair descriptions.

To be a successful service advisor, you should have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of automotive technology and of the automotive industry.


Service Advisor Responsibilities:


  • Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
  • Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide indepth information about available parts and service options to customers.
  • Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle dropoff, and vehicle pickup.
  • Providing customers with information such, potential cost savings, repairs, etc.
  • Overseeing the workflow and schedule.
  • Ordering parts and completing estimates
  • Invoicing and working within our AMS and V Trace systems.
  • Calling customers to advise them about service changes or car pickup times.
  • Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payments.
  • Liaising with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.

Service Advisor Requirements:


  • Knowledge of auto mechanics is required.
  • A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with industryspecific software.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, decision making, and problemsolving skills.
  • The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
Pay is $21-25 per hour depending on experience.

Please note there is no bus service to the site, so applicants are required to have their own reliable transportation and driver's license and attend work daily, (remote work is not available).._
