Reporting to the Brand Marketing and Communications Manager, the International Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Manager in delivering and coordinating the marketing and communication for Birks brand to our retail partners.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communication.

In addition, the
Coordinator, International
Marketing is expected to

  • Define and implement marketing and communications strategies in collaboration with the Manager, to increase brand awareness and ensure brand consistency Internationally across all channels and retail partners.
  • Coordinate and ensure communication to retail partners, including agents on all new marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Coordinate new store openings with internal teams. Including but not limited to scheduling marketing introductions with new retail partners and developing ensuring timely delivery of all relevant marketing materials.
  • Responsible for quarterly brand audit of retail partners (review of marketing materials, social media, website etc.)
  • Responsible for monitoring retail partners (social media, instore, website) to ensuring retail partners are following brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of marketing materials and collateral for International tradeshows, including collaborating closely with the Visual Merchandising and sales teams.
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of marketing materials and collateral for International trunk shows, including collaborating closely with the Visual Merchandising and sales teams.
  • Responsible for updating retailer partners communication portal with latest marketing materials (campaign, product launches, wholesale packages etc.)
  • Responsible for the development and coordination of all advertising and artwork requests for retail partners and external agencies
  • Develop and ensure all retail partners have the latest marketing materials (instore visuals, website, social media content)
  • Collaborate with internal and external team (media agencies, thirdparty sale agents' copywriters, graphic designers) on content creation.
  • Develop retail partner tools (launch decks, brand presentations, catalogs)
  • Responsible for the coordination and tracking of fitment orders for retail partners.
  • Responsible for the execution of related wholesale initiatives via project management tool (Asana) by assigning tasks to key departments to ensure a successful launch for our retail partners.
  • Participate and attend weekly wholesale meeting with internal whole teams. Responsible for debriefing Marketing manager.
  • Responsible for providing internal wholesale team with monthly press recaps
  • Responsible for updating Wholesale agents on upcoming marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for tracking invoices for all Birks coop and bookings, provide accurate reports to the Marketing Administrator.
  • Responsible for coordination of International media plan with external agencies (B2B & B2C)
  • Responsible for the coordination of annual COOP plans with retail partners and provide monthly coop report with internal teams
  • Support Manager with any other relevant marketing tasks and miscellaneous marketing requests to facilitate the department and get us to a more efficient and effective way of doing business
  • 1 to 2 years experience in Marketing
  • A general understanding of all marketing and communications channels
  • Knowledge of International Marketing (B2C and B2B) an asset
  • Experience in copywriting and/or content creation
  • Experience in luxury goods and/or retail is a strong asset.
